Just spoke to @KnuckleheadSean of MP Promotions. He said Senator @MannyPacquiao said he was impressed and thought Spence look good. Still has the fire to fight in 2021 and would like to take on Spence.

Spence is the current talk of the boxing world after his unanimous decision win over Danny Garcia last Saturday night in Texas. The IBF and WBC champion successfully defended his belts by outpointing Garcia 116-112, 116-112, and 117-111. He improved his unbeaten record to 27-0 with 21 wins via knockout. While he didn’t stop Garcia in Saturday’s bout, Spence looked great after a long layoff.

There were a lot of people who doubted Spence because he had not fought in 14 months and was coming off a serious single car accident after his win over Shawn Porter. But Spence erased all doubts about his condition as a top fighter when he handily defeated a prime Danny Garcia last Saturday night at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas.
Spence looked great throughout the fight and used a steady jab to apply the pressure on Garcia throughout the fight. By the middle rounds, Spence’s southpaw jab had caused Garcia’s eye to swell. After 12 rounds, Garcia’s face looked so beaten up in a way we have never seen him look after a fight.
With the win, Spence re-established himself as the top welterweight in the business. He had been labeled as such prior to his infamous car accident which left him hospitalized in critical condition. The COVID-19 pandemic further put Spence on the shelf but as we saw last Saturday night, he was as good as ever.
Manny Pacquiao’s Future
Incredible that Manny Pacquiao still has part of the welterweight throne, but we don’t need to see him against Spence or Crawford at this point pic.twitter.com/KzHXv8ySt0

It has been almost a year and a half since Pacquiao’s last fight against Keith Thurman and right now, the fighting politician is busy with his work as a legislator in the Philippines. And despite how fantastic he looked against Thurman, he would be 42 years old in July, his staple fighting month from 2017-2019.
Last October, Pacquiao confirmed that he will be fighting MMA superstar Conor McGregor in a boxing match next year. McGregor still has a January 24, 2021 MMA bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 so that fight could be the one on tap for July when Pacman usually fights. A Spence fight, if at all, could come in the second half of 2020.
Making a Paquiao vs Spence bout wouldn’t be as difficult as booking Spence against Terence Crawford. Both Pac and Spence are connected with the Premier Boxing Champions so there won’t be any promotional problems. Although Crawford and Bob Arum aren’t in good terms, Bud is still under contract with Top Rank which makes the fight tricky to make.
Bud is the Best Fight

When it comes to making money, there is no question that Manny Pacquiao would bring Errol Spence his biggest payday ever. However, Bud Crawford is the best fight out there for the Truth if he wants to establish himself as the true top dog in boxing’s welterweight division.
Booking the Spence vs Crawford bout isn’t in the pipeline yet but some online bookmakers have already come up with their betting lines for that possible future bout. Flutter’s Paddy Power and BetFair have listed Crawford as the 8/13 (-162.50) betting favorite over Spence who is currently pegged at 5/4 (+125) at both sportsbooks.
The Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas has also opened Bud as a -140 odds on favorite over Spence who came back at +120. Top Rank Boxing, Crawford’s promoter, was quick to post the Vegas lines in their social media accounts for obvious reasons. Still it remains to be seen if that’s the path Spence wants to take or if that fight can be booked at all given Crawford’s contractual affiliation.
