H Hotel job that is hosting to bring staff back to pre-pandemic levels

As the COVID-19 pandemic still looms over the hospitality and service industries, places like the H Hotel are trying to get their staff back to pre-pandemic levels.

From 3 to 6 p.m. April 13, the H Hotel in Midland will be holding a job fair in the hotel’s ballroom to present their open positions to potential hires. This comes after the hotel began hiring again after nearly a year of not anyone that is hiring

“Typically, Our pool that is applicant is fluid,” said Director of Human Resources Melissa Damore. “Pre-pandemic, we only had a couple of positions that were pretty challenging to fill. But during the pandemic, we did not do any hiring for all of 2020.”

Last year, like for many businesses, was not an easy one for the H Hotel. The hotel did not make any hires from February 2020 to March that is late of 12 months, she stated. Open positions range from crowd control, to bartenders, to ushers and to wait staff, according to a press release from Soaring Eagle.
