Match Preview & Team News
Hosts have declined a bit in the last few weeks, slipping from 3rd to 8th place after losing two out of the last three divisional games to Reading and Birmingham City. All other playoff contenders are just a couple of points away though, and there is plenty of time left to recover. Their opponents Blackburn Rovers are probably after the same thing, and their recent performances have been flawless. Read on our Championship betting tips and predictions below.
Current Form And Home & Away Performances
Blackburn Rovers are sitting at top of the table if we take only five rounds into consideration. They have collected 11 out of 15 points thanks to three back to back victories versus Preston North End, Barnsley and Millwall. Last weekend we witnessed Rovers take away one big point from a derby match against Brentford FC in a 2-2 draw. This team has the highest number of scored goals so far – 31 in 16 duels. Almost half of those (14 to be precise) was scored by Adam Armstrong. Their score on the road hasn’t been so consistent though – three wins, two draws and three defeats.
Hosts were on a good path of recovery from 1-3 loss to Reading FC by beating QPR on the road in the follow up match. Once again, Robins are just unable to connect one decent winning streak. During the last weekend Birmingham City took all three points from this stadium. They are currently one position and two points ahead of Blackburn.
Goals Markets Betting Preview
Despite the recent loss at this stadium, we don’t think Bristol City are in a bad spot against Blackburn. They were able to beat some quite good squads here. Home win or draw double chance at 3/5 does feel like a banker option.
